Juniors
Welcome to the Junior Division, and the bigger fields! Since the Village of Shorewood does not have enough space to accommodate Junior-sized playing fields, our Junior Division teams are formed through Shorewood Little League, but play in the Glendale Little League program. Our teams play against each other, as well as teams from Glendale, Whitefish Bay and Northwest.
Practices begin early April; games in early May. Games will take place two or three nights during the week, and some Saturdays. Games are played on the baseballs fields in Glendale, Cahill Park (WFB), and Northwest. The regular season runs through June, with Tournament Team play beginning early July. The Tournament Team is comprised of the best players in the division selected by a balloting process.
The Junior Division is for boys & girls who are currently in 7th and 8th grade OR are league age 13 and 14 by April 30.
NOTE:
If your child is in 7th grade and does not turn 13 until May 1 or later, he or she has the option of playing baseball with their classmates
OR playing regular little league in the Majors division one more year.
Regular Little League registration is separate from the Junior division registration. Regardless of division, all players who register to play in our league must reside in Shorewood according Little League International. Registration takes place in early December. Skills Assessment for players going into Juniors or new to Shorewood, and Player Verification for everyone takes place in late February or early March, with Teams announced in mid-March!
