Majors
Welcome to the Majors ... where you are drafted to a team as a rookie, and usually remain with the same team the following season, as a veteran! Most players in this division are currently in 5th & 6th grade.
However because of the National Little League age cut-off date of April 30, if a 5th grader does not turn 11 until May 1 or later, the players are given the option of playing up with their grade OR remaining in AAA for another season as a "league age 10".
Should a player elect to play up with their grade as a 5th grader, they will stay with their grade as a 6th grader. Once this player enters 7th grade (and doesn't turn 13 until May 1 or later), they again have the option to play another year in the Majors as a "league-age 12" or move up to Juniors with their other classmates. Once the decision is made to move up to the division, they stay in that division for two years.
Teams in the Major's division play each other, Whitefish Bay, and Lake Park. Games are mostly played at our beautiful Spector Field, located at the corner of Edgewood and Oakland Avenue, but some are also played behind Riverside High School or at the Whitefish Bay baseball diamonds off Port Road.
