WELCOME TO SHOREWOOD LITTLE LEAGUE
Shorewood Little League is a non-profit ogranization whose mission is to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist the interest of those who want to participate in Little League Baseball. Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, our goal is to assist youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and physical well-being. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, wholesome combination of
recreation and competition to players whose ages are 7-14 through regular season play among local teams.
Through Little League International, Shorewood Little League is also given the opportunity to participate in the largest sports tournament in the world. These Tournament games usually start around July 1 and can run beyond August, depending on the division. These Tournament Teams are for players who are league-age 9-14. These players are selected through ballot voting by the players in their division. Tournament Team candidates are selected based upon their eligibility and playing ability. If a player is chosen, families should know that it does require more time, dedication, enthusiasm, travel, and additional expenses.
Shorewood Little League is also a 100% volunteer organization. On the registration form you are strongly encouraged to make a commitment to volunteer for a particular function. If our League has to pay for some services which could be performed by volunteers, it may limit improvements to our fields and program. Please, we ask that when contacted by the League you get involved and volunteer your time generously. Thank you!
